It started on a trail with no signal
Eight friends reached a trailhead with no cell service. As the group spread out along the trail at different paces, there was no way to stay in touch.
Later that same trip, one of us crested a hilltop and the phone showed a single bar of signal. That moment gave 1Bar its name. We built the app for the stretches in between, where there are zero bars and your group still needs to stay together.

Good to know
- Bluetooth range is limited. Distance, walls and terrain matter, and a message may take time to arrive.
- 1Bar sends alerts to your Crew. It does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number if you can.
- Everyone in a Crew needs 1Bar installed.
- 1Bar has not been released yet. We have not announced a launch date or price.
